Pengguin was invited to participate in the 21st edition of TAKEO PAPER’s annual New Year’s Card Exhibition, a long-standing tradition in Japan’s design community that showcased 100 original greeting cards by creators from Japan and abroad.

We designed an original New Year’s card that explored the expressive potential of paper, printing techniques, and visual storytelling to deliver a personal message for the year ahead. The piece reflected Pengguin’s multidisciplinary approach—merging narrative chemistry, layered forms, and experimental yet communicative design—into a unique, tactile greeting that celebrated renewal, connection, and the subtle beauty of material.

The card was exhibited alongside 99 other works in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka, inviting visitors to discover diverse interpretations of the New Year through the medium of paper and design.
